Every year, the tobacco industry spends more than $12.4 billion, in the U.S. alone, marketing its deadly tobacco products.  In 2005, the tobacco industry spent $553.5 million on marketing its products in Pennsylvania.  Tobacco companies use a wide variety of techniques to market their products, many times with the goal of targeting children and young adults.
